Accompany your daily necessities, the knife is mandatory in your beautiful kitchen. Fortunately, if you already have a different shape but, make sure you understand the functionality of the versatility yes... 😉 Here are some of the kitchen knives you should know. So, you aren’t wrong in its use. And most importantly, it makes it easy to cut according to the material.

1. Chef Knife

Knives are characterized by elongated blade shapes and sharp edges. Blade lengths range from 15 cm to 30 cm, so you can choose the one that suits your needs. This pungent chef can be used to peel, cut, slice, form cooking ingredients into a piece of box, plus cut it into small shapes. Meat, fish plus vegetables can be cut using this chef's knife.

However, Chef knife can’t be used to separate bones from meat in poultry, peel vegetables, or open cans. Although the original function is as a knife to cut meat, this knife can also be used to cut other materials so that it can be used as a daily knife.

2. Slicing Knife

The Blade is more visible and long, as well as straight shapes. This blade is used to slice and cut too small materials, such as garlic, onion, or strawberries. However, sometimes i also use this knife to brush the prawns and stomach of the fish. LOL

Don’t use this knife for very harsh materials, such as carrots, celery roots, or radish. Forcing to use this knife to cut very hard materials will only increase the risk of slipping knife while cutting.

3. Santoku Knife

For most people, this knife one is one of the classic knives of the chef. It's referred to as a knife that is easy to grip and control, with a length of 5 to 8 inches, then this blade is ideal for people who have a large enough hand size.

Santoku Knife is essentially a multifunctional knife because it can be used to cut garlic, onions, HAM, bacon, and spices such as Basil, Oregano, mint, rosemary, and thyme. But don't get me wrong, this knife is also able to cut out harsh groceries such as Chocolate Bars, sweets, and frozen foods.

4. Utility Knife

Knives are used for general purpose or utilities. This utility blade was originally a fixed knife with a spear tip suitable for public works such as leather plus rope cuts, leather cuts, slaughtering of animals, cleaning fish, plus other tasks.

Knife Craft is a tool that is widely used for crafting. Currently, the term “Versatile knife" also includes small folding knives or blade blades suitable for use in public workplaces or in the construction industry. And a lot of the latest models with various versions of this utility blade development.

5. Fruit/Carving Knife

This knife is so cute and unique. Because of this shape and the tip that is swerves like a crescent moon as well as a very flat and short material. This model of knife is very appropriate for the formation of fruit or vegetable decoration. Because it's very easy to apply it like a pattern and diluting a thick pattern.

The end result of craving itself depends on the persistence and shrewdness our hands actually, because although using a carving knife, using utility knives can also form various patterns such as flowers and geese. It's just a bit heavier than using this carving/fruit knife myself.

6. Knife Bread

The knife with a decent length and jagged is suitable for cutting the bread or ordinary wheat flour. Because besides easy to slice, this knife is specially designed for bread cutting. The results presented are also not bad when you try to cutting your fresh bread using this knife.

7. Boning Knives

Why Bones? Because this blade has a pointed, thin and short tip. In a special design to separate the bone and meat very lightly.

Typical of this blade is the curved shape and pointed at the edges.

It's small, curved shape will make it easy for chefs to separate the meat from the bones, even in tight, hard-to-reach areas.

8. Cheese Knife

Judging from its name, this knife does serve to cut soft, somewhat sticky cheese. Having a somewhat different shape than other knives, the cheese knife has holes in the whole body of the knife. This large hole serves to make the pieces of cheese look neater and not sticky and stick to the knife.

9. Mincing Knife

Mincing knife is a large style of knife that is used for chopping meat until smooth. Having a large, curved blade body with two handles on its side, this blade produces delicate cuts of meat as the basic ingredient of meatballs or burger meat.

10. Kebab Knife

Knives are usually longer and flattened, the width is also not too broad. Similar to the size of the slicing blade is just longer. This blade is used to cut the kebab or smoked meat. Because a long and lightweight form makes it easy for experts to do their job well.

11. Cleaver

Here's a knife that we often see for large sized meat cuts. With the rectangular shape of the blade, the cleaver is used to cut the meat into smaller sizes. Not only does the meat cut, the large size of the cleaver allows it to cut out the hard bones of the animal.

That's some kind of kitchen knife that you must know.

And, it's time to break... 🙆

See you dear... 🙋
